Smart Commit ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: Email address (used for authentication and account management).

Usage data: Cloud AI generation counts, connected device identifiers, and subscription status.

Code diffs (Cloud AI only): When you use Cloud AI, a summarized version of your staged diff is sent to our servers for commit message generation. Diffs are processed in memory and are not stored after generation.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect full source code, repository contents, file names beyond what appears in diffs, or any data when you use Template, OpenAI, or Ollama generators.

4. How We Use Your Data

Account data is used solely for authentication, subscription management, and essential service communications. Usage data helps us enforce fair-use limits and improve the service.

5. Third-Party Services

We use AWS (infrastructure), LemonSqueezy (payments), and Amazon Cognito (authentication). Each has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You can request account deletion at any time by contacting support@websouf.com.
